Les mobi­li­sa­tions sociales sur­ve­nues récem­ment aux Etats-Unis, en France et dans les quatre coins du globe pour dénon­cer le racisme sys­té­mique et les vio­lences poli­cières dont sont vic­times les per­sonnes raci­sées (notam­ment afro des­cen­dantes), ont per­mis de rani­mer le débat sur la ques­tion raciale en France. L’ASPA vous pro­pose donc, le mer­cre­di 8 juillet de 17h à 19h d’é­chan­ger autour du tabou qui pèse en France sur la ques­tion raciale à l’oc­ca­sion d’une table ronde virtuelle.

L’i­dée de cette confé­rence vir­tuelle est donc d’é­chan­ger sur la manière dont les frac­tures raciales exis­tantes dans la socié­té fran­çaise sont abor­dées et l’im­pact de l’u­ni­ver­sa­lisme occi­den­tal sur la condi­tion des mino­ri­tés eth­niques, sur la lutte contre les dis­cri­mi­na­tions et les inéga­li­tés raciales en France.

 — Joao Gabriel, blo­gueur pan­afri­cain, doc­to­rant en his­toire et spé­cia­liste des ques­tions décoloniales,
nous ana­ly­se­rons l’im­pact des mou­ve­ments sociaux et explo­re­rons les dif­fé­rentes solu­tions à envi­sa­ger pour un chan­ge­ment struc­tu­rel au sein de notre société.

Recent social mobi­li­za­tions in the Uni­ted States, France and all around the world to denounce sys­te­mic racism and police bru­ta­li­ty against racia­li­zed people (espe­cial­ly Afro-des­cen­dants) have hel­ped to raise the debate on racial issues in France. Wed­nes­day july 8th, ASPA invites you to debate around this topic form 5pm to 7pm.

This online confe­rence will be the oppor­tu­ni­ty to talk about how racial issues within the French socie­ty are addres­sed and the impact of Wes­tern uni­ver­sa­lism on the condi­tion of eth­nic mino­ri­ties and on the fight against racial dis­cri­mi­na­tion and inequa­li­ty in France.
